#BookReview Coffin Road by Peter May #Tuesdaybookblog

After washing up on a beach, a man has no recollection of where he is and how he got there. Furthermore he cannot recall who he is and any details about his life. As he picks up a trail of detritus of his life he pieces together the outrageous story of what brought him to the outer Hebrides.
This really was a remarkably gripping read  once it got going. The start was a bit slow and the beginning chapters deliberately and understandably, claustrophobic. I was surprised and relieved when the chapters switched to a narrative from Karen’s point of view and opened up the plot.
A mystery that you cannot help but stay up at night to unravel, Coffin Road has a sinister eerie twist that makes it all the more intriguing.
