Book Review: Chosen Child by Linda Huber

Two women: Amanda, married with a fourteen month old baby, who is having an affair. Ella, married but so far unable to conceive and undergoing the rigorous checks to adopt.

When Amanda’s husband, Gareth, comes home earlier than expected the resulting events change everything for both women forever.

I absolutely loved this psychological thriller as the plot rather expertly manoeuvred to affect both women when initially I couldn’t see how they were going to be linked.

The strength of the story in this thriller was in the characters and I found myself sympathising with Ella as well as understanding her motivations as a character. Amanda surprised me as I didn’t expect her to react in the ways she did, which made very interesting reading.

I read on to the end with eagerness to discover if both women would finally get what they truly wanted. This book is available to read for free to Kindle Unlimited subscribers.

    1. It is rather disturbing and the antagonist is quite a character, but I think I have read a lot of disturbing books and need new levels of disturbing to be seriously disturbed.

      1. Lol, disturbing isn’t usually my preferred choice, but I found the book interesting anyway. I loved Ella and Soraya’s motherly daughter love, it was so sweet.
