Book Quote Challenge: Day One of Three

image

Thank you Adventures in Thirty Something for nominating me for the Book Quote Challenge. I have never done this before and the chance to share my nine top book quotes and ask nine other bloggers for their top nine quotes sounds like fun. My theme for today’s quotes are books I loved reading for English literature GCSE.

The rules are:

Post for three consecutive days
Pick three quotes per day
Challenge three different bloggers per day

My First Quote:

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

From Animal Farm by George Orwell

My Second Quote:

It may have been observed that there is no regular path for getting out of love as there is for getting in. Some people look upon marriage as a short cut that way, but it has been known to fail.

From Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy

My Third Quote:

Which is better — to have laws and agree, or to hunt and kill?

From Lord of the Flies by William Holding

My First Three Nominees:
Bloggers who I virtually love and have now given them one more thing to do, for three days in a row no less, as if you aren’t busy enough! Hope you’ll accept and see the fun in this.

Meditating Mummy’s Mostly Bookish Blog
Dynamite Review

Tune in for Book Quote Challenge Day 2 tomorrow.
