Book Review: Everything She Forgot by Lisa Ballantyne

An enigmatic tale about a deputy head teacher, Margaret Holloway, who once involved in a huge motorway pile up, is rescued by a stranger and starts recovering memories from her childhood that she has suppressed due to traumatic incident. As Margaret retraced her childhood and finds the mysterious stranger who helped her can they both be linked?

A truly wonderful read examining the relationship between parent and child and how the loss of memories post-trauma can also shape people. As Margaret takes a symbolic and literal journey from Thurso to Penzance and rediscovery a vital part of her identity.

A must read for psychological thriller fans.
