I have been tagged again, thank you to Lovingyoochun. Please do visit her wonderful blog.
Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
Anywhere quiet and warm suits me fine, I do a lot of reading on the sofa and in bed. Currently I have sciatica so I’m favouring my bed.
Bookmark or random piece of paper?
I have had a huge variety of bookmarks: leather, textile even solid silver, but can I find one when I need one? Nope. So more often than not a random envelope will do and lack of my bookmarks when needed is just one of the many reasons I went Kindle in 2007.
Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/a certain amount of pages?
If I’m into a book I don’t stop until I reach the last page. I do get interrupted to feed the cats, husband etc sometimes in which case I just stop wherever I am.
Do you eat or drink while reading?
I take a break to eat/drink, the thought of splashing something over pristine pages or my ereader is horrifying. 😨
Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?
No. Pin drop silence. Although admittedly I’m used to hubby snoring in the background.
One book at a time or several at once?
I get absorbed into one book at a time.
Reading at home or everywhere?
I can concentrate better at home, I’ve tried the park and Starbucks but it’s not as comfortable or quiet, it slows me down.
Reading out loud or silently in your head?
In my head. My mind actually reads each word, formulating sentences, paragraphs and chapters. NO SKIMMING HERE!
Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
No I don’t like to think I may have missed something so no skipping ahead unless it’s long architectural descriptions.
Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
Breaking the spine is sacrilege.
Do you write in your books?
