Book Review: Behind The Black Door (Supergirls Book 1)

This macabre horror thriller introduces us to Jen and May, sisters who were abandoned as children by the single parent addict mother who live hard working at the local 7-11 and turning tricks to meet the expense of May’s antipsychotic medication. When one day they plan to rob a rich john the contents of his home are truly horrific but can the sisters make their way through this sinister puzzle with their money.

As a short horror read I quite enjoyed this novelette but as an introduction to a series of books based on Jen and May, I found it lacking in that I didn’t connect much with either sister to want to read much more about them. However, if you are a fan of class is horror you will enjoy this book and recognise shades of the story from various iconic horror movies.

This book is available to read for free to Kindle Unlimited subscribers.
