Hanna wakes to find herself in hospital with no memory of how she got there. The last thing she remembers is meeting her twin sister, Lizzy and best-friend Cally for drinks 11 months ago. She finds that her current life is a far cry from what she remembers, she’s the owner of a successful business, she’s lost a lot of weight and she’s engaged to the man of her dreams, but soon she realises that her perfect life is not as it seems.
I’m not a huge romance fan and admittedly a lot of romance books end up in my “didn’t like it enough pile,” but I was totally blown away by the skilful way this romance was told. I kept turning the pages as my mind wanted to know more about what Hanna was going to find out and what she was going to do. Hanna is a very likeable protagonist because she’s not your stick-thin, idealised version of a woman none of us could stand. She has real insecurities and her story is extremely compelling. I really enjoyed the way Hanna’s doubts and fear were addressed and you could relate to what she was thinking. The book is the first in a trilogy and ends on quite a cliffhanger.
An absolute must-read for contemporary romance, mystery and suspense fans.

It sounds like it would be petrifying to wake up and forget everything! I see that you have written a review of book 2 as well, so I am glad to see you liking these!

That was the premise that captured my imagination, but I felt let down by book 3, hence no review.
