This book sees Martha, Bill, Florence, Cat and Lucy deal with David’s loss and the truth about Daisy. Karen makes tough decisions about where her future lies and Martha is left devastated and wonders if the life they made at Winterfold was just an illusion?
Legal issues ensue regarding Daisy’s internment and Florence also takes legal action over the book she wrote but after finding her birth certificate comes to know she is adopted. Unable to speak to Martha about this discovery Florence confides in Lucy.
