Advance Book Review: The Girl From The Sea by Shalini Boland

This psychological thriller starts with a woman waking up on a beach with no recollection of how she got there. Once in hospital it appears she doesn’t even recall her own name or recognise herself in the mirror. An appeal is put out for anyone who recognises her to come forward and before long a man claiming to be her boyfriend appears, but what is he not telling her?

I do enjoy reading these amnesiac thrillers where you have to piece the character together from as little information as they have themselves at the start of the thriller. I never knew which way the ominous narrative was going to take me, but after finishing it I can honestly say it was far from predictable and in the running to be one of the most chilling reads of the year for me.

A hugely entertaining thriller, which had me gripped from the start until I had finished it in one sitting. A definite must-read for psychological thriller fans. The Girl From The Sea will be published on 9 June 2016 and will be available to read for free to Kindle Unlimited subscribers.
