Aia has always known she is different but when she is provoked into using her powers she has to go on the run in order to survive. Pursued by breakers, sworn to capture her, she meets an unlikely saviour, but the dangers she and everyone else in Tharien faces just multiplied.
This type of fantasy adventure is not my usual genre of choice because it’s hard to get right and I have read a few that haven’t been exemplary of the genre. From The Ashes, however, was totally absorbing, easy to get into and very well written. I became invested in the characters and am eagerly awaiting the next instalment of this very exciting new series.
