Book Review: Reached (Matched book 3) by Ally Condie

The final thrilling part of the New York Times bestselling trilogy, REACHED is the sequel to MATCHED and CROSSED by Ally Condie. After leaving the Society and desperately searching for each other – and the Rising – Cassia and Ky have found what they were looking for, but at the cost of losing each other yet again.

But nothing is as predicted, and all too soon the veil lifts and things shift once again . . .

In the gripping conclusion to the bestselling MATCHED trilogy Cassia, Ky, and Xander return to the Society to save the one thing they have been denied for so long: the power to choose.

As much as I have enjoyed the first two books in the Matched series, I found this one harder work and although I really enjoyed reading about Cassia and her growth I found the book somewhat repetitive and slow. The last 30 % of the book picked up and was better.

This really cannot in my opinion be read as a stand alone novel and I would encourage anyone wanting to read this to go back to the first book Matched and read in sequence to avoid getting confused and missing the point of the mention of characters from the previous two books.

Not as good as the prequels and not as good as some of the other YA fiction I have read this year.
